::Tips and Tricks:: for bruises, burns and more...

As you can see, I love to learn new tips and share them with you, someone told me the other day "you are the Queen of Tips", ...you know who you are ;D

I bring you more new tips for this week:

  • Splinter remover - Just pour a drop of Elmer's Glue all over the splinter. Let dry and peel the glue off the skin in the direction of entry.
  • Vinegar to heal bruises - Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply to the bruise for 1 hour. The vinegar reduces the blueness and speed up the healing.
  • Get right of unsightly toenail fungus - by soaking your toes in Listerine mouthwash. This powerful antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again.
  • Colgate toothpaste makes an excellent salve for minor burns.
  • Rainy day cure for dog odor. - Next time your dog/cat comes in from the rain, simply wipe them down with Bounce or any other dryer sheets.

Cleaning stone beads

  • Immerse stones beads in warm, soapy water and scrub them gently with a soap brush. Then rinse the beads and place them on a soft towel to dry.
  • Most stone beads can be ultrasonic cleaned as well. Please note: beads that are dyed or organic (amber, bone, coral, ivory, opal pearls or turquoise, for example) can be damaged if cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. Also, dyed stones should not be steam-cleaned.

Less is more.

Everyone has heard this phrase before, but try applying it to your daily living/workspace. When you have less, you feel less burdened because there isn't as much to keep track of.

The payoff for having less is that you actually feel like you have more... you are not wasting it looking for items or shuffling through papers. You just feel better about your space and don't feel like your belongings own you, but rather you own them.
